The brown scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

The brown scapular of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

*well, alam ko may mga against sa opinion ko ngayon kaya sana magcomment kayo or email me nalng at rodrigoaescobar@catholic.org*

Yes, that's true diego. Our Lady promised that but it doesn't mean that if you wear one and you continue to linger ojn in the dark, you will enter heaven. of course not! the presupposition is, when you wear one, you are convinced to pattern your life after that of our Lady -- a life of humility, service, and sanctity -- and if you do that, you will gain eternal life. the scapular is just one of the "reminders", a "means" towards the "end" which is salvation; it is never the "end!"

you are right. the scapular per se will never warrant you heaven nor will your efforts and works will gain you eternal life. remember, everything is GRACE! and going to heaven is something achieved not because we worked so hard for it, not even because we deserve it! we are going to heaven simply because it is GRACE. it is God's effort, more than ours. for left to ourselves, we can do nothing.

so continue to desire Jesus. If you have Him, then you have evrything!

God bless you.
