Denying Jesus

When we feel that we are hopelessly sinful and stuck in our selfish patterns, we only have to remember St. Peter.

Among the other apostles...

Peter was the rough one
Peter was the strong one
Peter was the impulsive one

And lastly...

Peter was the straight-forward one

But Peter was also weak, a self-preserving coward who denied Jesus 3 times, but Jesus forgave him and still gave Peter the keys to His Kingdom.

We can always be like Peter, strong and tough at times of glory and suffering. But when it comes to Christ, we deny and feel weak. Peter served as a challenge for me and a model when he denied Christ 3 times.

We may always deny Christ, we may always take back our love for Him, but He loves us so much that He still gave us blessings. To Peter, a special role, to keep the keys of Gods kingdom.
